LOCAL filmmaker Kaelyn Ward has added another trophy to her cabinet this past week, taking home the Best Young Regional Filmmaker for 2023 following the airing of her short film 'Hireath' at the Next Wave Film Festival in Coffs Harbour on Saturday 22 April.
It was a tough field at the film festival, with twenty-eight national finalists from all over the country in the 18-25 years category submitting movies across a broad range of genres and styles.
