LOCAL people and charities received around $14,000 in assistance from Coonamble Lions Club in the last financial year, thanks to their year-round program of fundraising activities.
Almost every week of the year will see the some of the 14 Lions members in their distinctive gold shirts cooking a barbeque at some community event, selling meat tray raffle tickets at the Terminus Hotel or otherwise helping out.
