Coonamble Shire Councillors are taking another step into the digital age and are set to undergo social media training in November.
Coonamble Shire Council Acting Director of Community, Planning, Development and Governance Phillip Perram says the training will be mandatory.
“It provides a way forward in respect of the responsibilities and potential liabilities related to councillors using social media,” said Mr Perram.“It’s in accordance with the Local Government Act in respect of councillors training.”
