It has been five months since the last wombat sighting was reported to the Coonamble Times.
Now three more witnesses can attest to spotting a wombat south of Coonamble on Monday night 6 November.
Previous sightings were along the Castlereagh Highway at least halfway towards Walgett, with animal/s seen between New Year’s Eve and mid May.
Another was photographed west of Coonamble on the Quambone Road on 23 May, leading to stronger speculation that there . . .
