Coonamble’s annual Welcome Dinner is “39 years strong” this year and once again localclubs and charities swung in to action on Saturday 24 February to feed and familiarise newresidents to the town.
Almost 70 people joined in on the occasion and were welcomed to country by Wayilwan and Gamilaroi woman Nina Sands, who also read a quote ‘On Country’ by author and anthropologist Dr Deborah Bird Rose.
