The opportunity to nominate to run as a candidate in this year's Local Government Elections in NSW closes today (Wednesday 14 August).
With nine seats to fill, Coonamble shire needs more than that number of candidates for an election to be held.
At the time of going to print on Tuesday morning there were four nominees registered with the NSW Electoral Commission.
Barbara Deans was the only current councillor on the list standing for re-election.
Other candidates on the list are former councillor Karen Churchill and newcomers Donna Norris . . .
