Local Lions Club members who volunteered at an annual camp aimed at building confidence in people with disabilities are still on a high.
Eighty participants of various ages, including four from Coonamble, went to Camp Elim near Foster where they sunk their teeth into activities including archery, raft making and canoeing.
They also enjoyed climbing walls, dancing and pancake making.
Gulargambone’s Colin Ryan and Coonamble’s Chris Murray were there as leaders at the five-day camp, which began on 9 September and is the initiative of a group of Lions Clubs . . .
