A Coonamble police sergeant says proactive policing and community trust contributed to a fall in reports for motor vehicle thefts and break and enters in the shire last year.
Motor vehicle theft fell about 42 per cent from 36 reports in 2023 to 21 in 2024, while break and enters into non-dwellings dropped from 50 to 16 reports.
