Coonamble Shire Council have installed bollards on Hickey Street to block heavy vehicles it says were damaging water infrastructure.
The 16 yellow vehicle barriers are planted along a 70-metre strip of grass near the intersection with Wingadee Street.
Director of Community, Planning, Development, and Environment, Barry Broe, said the operator of the heavy vehicles was damaging infrastructure by parking on the strip.
