In response to questions about whether the lopped trees near the tennis courts on Pages Terrace will be replaced, Coonamble Shire Council representatives say more tree planting progress will be seen in the coming year.
Under the Street Tree Planting program that was approved in 2023, Council expects to have planted over 50 trees by the end of the 2024-2025 financial year.
Council recently planted twenty 'Snow in Summer' trees in front of Quambone's school and pool, according to Director of Community, Planning, Development, and Environment, Barry Broe.
