Bears men land away win against Baradine Magpies

On Saturday 17 May, the Bears travelled to Baradine for their first away game of the season.

After a shaky start and conceding points in the early minutes of the game, the Bears found their feet and started to get points on the board.

Some impressive defensive efforts as well as a good completion rate saw the Bears start to pull away from the Magpies and take the win and 3 points for the week.

The Bears piled on 10 tries throughout the game, with doubles to Mark Jones and Earl Anderson and an impressive kicking performance by captain, Brenton Glover 9/10 saw the final score 58-6.

The Bears now sitting in 5th place on the competition ladder makes this weeks home game against the Narromine Jets all the more important, with a win likely to advance the bears up the ladder further.
