Three weeks ago the Coonamble Greyhound Club was given the go-ahead for their annual October long weekend carnival which will run on Friday 3, Saturday 4 and Monday 6 October.
Peak industry body Greyhound Racing NSW announced in May last year that the Coonamble track would be closing as part of a statewide 'restructure', however the October long weekend race was still allowed to go ahead in 2024 and has been approved again this year.
