Bridging the generation gap
For the first time on Friday 13 June, the Koonambil aged care facility hosted ten youngsters from the council-funded Youth Empowerment Program.
Residents shared their life stories with the high schoolers in a scheme partially aimed at curbing social isolation.
"The residents were so animated," Koonambil Interim CEO Paul Rosenquist said.
"They just actually talked about life, how their lives were and what they'd done.
