Sing Coonamble: ‘pub choir’ at the Plaza

26/06/2025 by The Coonamble Times

Photo: Most of the singers were shy but Hannie Rayson, Michael Cathcart, Mim McKeown, Tess Parry, and Ben Hjort sing out at the Plaza Theatre last week.

The "Sing Coonamble" choir had its first meeting on Tuesday 16 June at the Plaza Theatre.

There was a great turnout with about twenty attendees coming along.

Their repertoir will be more 'pub choir' than classical choral with Tuesday's session revealing renditions of 'Riptide' by Vance Joy, 'Better Be Home Soon' by Crowded House, and 'Truly, Madly, Deeply' by Savage Garden . . .
