After over 30 years, Coonamble's last full-time local accountant is stepping away from the practice he founded.
Coonamble-born Geoff Secombe marked his last official day at Martel Wheatley (formerly Secombe and Coghill) on Friday 11 July.
He said he wanted to retire from the stresses of constant deadlines and law changes.
The practice merged with Dubbo-based Martel Wheatley in 2023 because it struggled to find new accounting staff locally, and with Geoff leaving will no longer operate five-days a week.
