It's somewhat out of season but there's been a noticeable surge in landholders sowing perennial grasses right around the Coonamble district and well beyond.
Productivity is front of mind for all farmers, and many are switching on to the rewards of maximising their soil health and pasture mix to underpin production, year-in year-out.
