High priced yardings at cattle sale

Coonamble Associated Agents yarded 1200 good quality cattle last Wednesday 30 July.

It was probably one of the dearest sales for many years.

The best of the cows made up to 445 cents, heavy steers up to $4.90, and feeder heifers $4.65 cents.

Parkins Family from Lightning Ridge sold Santa cross cows at 415 cents 582kg $2417.

They also sold Hereford cross heifers 420 cents 552 kg $2321.

Ashford Ag sold Angus heifers 443 cents 441 kg $1955.

The Single family offered speckle park steers 455 cents 443 kg $2018.

John and Sally Stratton sold Angus steers 485 cents 566 kg $2750.

Adam Robinson presented Santa cross cows 423 cents 608 kg $2574.

Joe and Tanya Smith sold Angus heifers 449 cents 515 kg $2313.

L&J Trindall sold Angus heifers 460 cents 377 kg $1734.

Urungie Partnership presented Charolais steers 456 cents 496 kg $2262.

Brolga Partnership offered Angus cows 435 cents 806 kg $3507.

Elders were pleased to market cows for the following clients; Outwest Angus stud, Benah Partnership and Gidgenbar Grazing all recorded the same top price $4.40/kg to Gathercole, David Tudor the buyer in operation.

These cows returned $3237.00, $3553.00 and $3245.00 a fantastic result and equal to any other market for the week.

Our next sale is sale is scheduled for 13 August.
