We have had a wet week but with not much rain. Luckily, with a synthetic green you can still play bowls.
On Sunday the 3rd August the quarter finals of the Mixed Pairs Championships were played over 18 ends and it was 3 bowl pairs because it was not a state event.
The 3 bowls was implemented because it eliminated so much walking and made the game more enjoyable.
The choppy South Easterly was blowing and playing havoc with the bowls and the green was running at just under 16 seconds.
