The district's arterial roads would be up for repair within seven days under a draft hierarchy proposed by Coonamble Shire Council.
The hierarchy ranks 1540 kilometres of shire roads in six classes, with highest importance given to inter-town routes and major town streets.
According to Council’s business papers, the road hierarchy allows Council staff to develop a thorough inspection plan and works program matched to each road asset to ensure expected levels of service are met.
