Some crime rates appear to be trending in the right direction for Coonamble Shire.
Reported thefts and break and enters dropped more than 40 per cent in the two years to June 2025, according to the latest quarterly update from the NSW Bureau of Crime Statistics and Research. (BOCSAR)
Break and enters into dwellings declined 47.1 per cent, while the number of reported thefts from retailers reduced from 22 in 2023-24 to five in 2024-25.
The dips are comparable to the rates for the Far West and Orana statistical region . . .
