Coonamble Waste Management Facility quickly reopened after fire fighters extinguished a blaze that engulfed a large pile of tyres on Wednesday 8 October.
Fire & Rescue and Rural Fire Service (RFS) crews received the callout to the waste facility at around 12.30pm, where they fought the blaze while encountering gusts of more than 60-kilmetres per hour.
The fire was away from buildings and there have been no reports of injuries.
