Buybacks are where governments purchase water entitlements from growers to reduce the volume extracted from the Murray Darling Basin.
Macquarie Marshes graziers Garry Hall and Dugald Bucknell were among those who fronted a committee of state politicians, led by Barwon MP Roy Butler.
