Community members from in and around Pilliga have banded together to get a local family back on their feet after fire destroyed their home on 8 November.
Around 30-40 people showed up on Saturday 15 November to help repair a nearby separate house owned by Simon and Gabby Smith, which they intend to move into.
So far, they still have roofing, bathroom and kitchen work to be done, although family representatives say they now have plenty of donated clothes and household items.
