A welcome week for the wool market saw solid gains across most Merino MPGs (Micron Price Guides), with the EMI (Eastern Market Indicator) closing at 1458c/kg, up 39 cents.
On Tuesday, all three selling centres operated and strong demand from overseas mills lifted Merino combing types by 20 40 cents.
Crossbreds held steady, resulting in a 15 cent rise in the EMI to 1434c/kg.
Day two maintained the positive tone, adding another 30 40 cents across all Merino MPGs, while crossbred fleece remained largely unchanged.
