The University of New England (ANU) is spruiking their support centre for Aboriginal students in Coonamble as part of their push for more First Nations enrolments in higher education.
University representatives will visit Coonamble High and Primary schools on Thursday 11 December to discuss the Oorala Aboriginal Centre based at their Armidale campus, which gives free tutoring and financial advice, plus mentoring from Elder-in-residence Uncle Colin Ahoy.
Former UNE student Nina Sands says she wouldn't have finished her studies in 2018 without it.
