The wool market steadied this week, with finer MPG movements seeing the Eastern Market Indicator (EMI) close at 1504c/kg, down 10 cents after last week’s 56 cent rise and some MPG gains of over 100 cents.
In US dollar terms, the EMI was only slightly lower.
On Tuesday, the eastern states saw most Merino MPG’s fall 10 38 cents, particularly finer types, while WA fared better after having only a single sale the previous week.
Overall, Tuesday’s EMI slipped nine cents to 1505c/kg.
