This week we had some blistering hot weather but thank goodness we had some strong winds and the shade of a large tree near the side of the green to help with the exhaustion of the heat.
A large container of water even sat on the sidelines for drinks and a face wash.
The wind was either blowing a strong northeasterly or a southwesterly for our 12 ends of bowls and the green was running at a good 17 seconds.
