Local aged care services say they have adapted to the times after sweeping new industry rules came into force in November 2025.
Providers now have increased care standards and reporting requirements alongside a new statement of rights for residents.
Koonambil Aged Care chair Henry Moxham said former acting CEO Paul Rosenquist had been implementing changes ahead of the deadline.
“A lot of those things have slowly been brought in, as apposed to a guillotine coming down at the start of November,” Mr Moxham said.
