“NAIDOC has always been more than a week,” CEO of the Coonamble Local Aboriginal Land Council (CLALC) Nina Sands said.
She was standing in front of around 70 people, under the shade of the LALC building on Monday morning 6 July, holding her printed speech in her hand.
Shivers rippled across the crowd, although it was not due to the winter wind.
