Two dogs were euthanised on Saturday 4 July after mauling and killing another dog in Coonamble.
Coonamble's Director of Sustainable Communities and Planning Tony Payne said the incident brought the shires no-dog-attack streak back to the start line.
"We had a good run the past two months," Mr Payne said.
The attack allegedly occurred in a resident's back yard.
It is believed the resident owned the three dogs involved.
