What next for Coonamble’s museum?

Coonamble voices are calling for the local museum to reopen after council were advised that the buildings are safe to access.

The Coonamble Shire Council closed the museum in March 2024 after an engineer's report identified some ongoing structural concerns that compromised safety.

Now with a new structural engineer's report saying the structural issues do not currently make it unsafe and can be addressed initially through roof, gutters and drainage measures, councillors are looking to give the tourism spot the green light to reopen.
