The Australian wool market finished the final sale before the three week mid year recess on a weaker note, with the benchmark Eastern Market Indicator (EMI) falling 28 cents to close at 1,873 cents.
This follows last week’s improvement, driven by stronger demand for Merina fleece, which saw the EMI make a modest recovery to clost 5 cents higher at 1,977 cents.
Ths past week losses were recorded across all sectors, led by declines in the Merino fleece market.
