Coonamble-raised runner Abigail Nordberg (nee Regan) rubbed shoulders with some of the best long-distance runners in the world to place 10th for the women in the Sydney Marathon on 31 August.
The 34-year-old placed 10th out of 11460 women and 92nd of 32966 overall in the 42-kilometre race.
She said her quads were on fire when she crossed the finish line in two hours 35 minutes and 43 seconds.
