Coonamble and Gulargambone health services have welcomed their first ever Nurse Practitioner.
Rural Nurse Practitioner Jennifer Donaldson began in the role with Western NSW Local Health District about two months ago.
She visits every Wednesday to run clinical sessions at Coonamble and Gulargambone hospitals.
Unlike registered, or 'regular' nurses, nurse practitioners (NPs) can provide diagnosis and medication prescriptions depending on what patients present with.
