Coonamble Shire Council say they are seeking quotes for animal exclusion fencing at Coonamble Airport.
The council have been in talks with the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) to navigate aerodrome rules, including around the height of the fence.
"In a previous report, there was a suggestion of 1.8 or 2.1 metres, which would impact the OLS (Obstacle Limitation Surfaces) for the landing," Director of Infrastructure Services, Kerrie Murphy, said during Council's August monthly meeting.
"So what we've had to do is negotiate with CASA on what our maximum . . .
