That is the cry coming from group ‘Dresses for the Drought Australia’ as they send out a plea for help for the young debutantes of Walgett in search of dresses and suits for their upcoming Debutante Ball.
The small town of Walgett, population 2267, is hosting a ball in less than a month and the organisers have reached out to Dresses for the Drought to help.
“We received a request from community health leaders in Walgett for assistance in dressing some of the young ladies for their upcoming Debutante Ball next month,” according to Anita Guyett of Dresses for the Drought.
“Since the creation of dresses for the drought in 2018, we have been able to gift over 5000 dresses and 2700 suits to young formal goers or debutantes. As soon as we received the call out from Walgett, we jumped straight on board.”
