Ash Saunders did not know what to expect when she heard her dogs go off at 2:30 in the morning on Tuesday 18 June.
“My Labrador Daisy usually doesn’t bark but that night she was really upset.”
Her cattle dog was also unsettled so Ash decided to see what the commotion was about.
“I thought it was a pig. It turned out to be a big wombat in the garage.”
Ash said she has never seen a wombat in the three years she’s lived out on Muttama Station . . .
