ON Saturday 14 January, Coonamble suffered an unplanned power outage at around 1:40 pm, leaving many in town without power for up to three hours.
An Essential Energy spokesperson told the Coonamble Times that 2,882 homes and businesses were impacted by the power outage.
"Essential Energy crews dispatched and located a fallen powerline near the John Oxley Memorial Rest Area along the Castlereagh Highway (around 30kms south of town)," said the spokesperson.
