The Coonamble Bears took on the Castlereagh League Ladder Leaders, the Cobar Roosters last Saturday, with the Roosters showing why they are the premiership favourites for the 2022 season.
From the kick-off the Bears made a handling error on tackle two and the Roosters pounced, scoring their first try with only four minutes time keeper’s clock, setting a lead of 6 to nil.
The home side hit back with a try to Jack Kelly mid way through the first half, which was converted by Andrew Wallace, evening the score at 6 to 6 . . .
