An involvement in recreational gliding since 1965, years of volunteer work and organising the World Gliding Championships at Narromine, has led to Beryl Hartley being named as Narromine’s Citizen of the Year Award at the Shire’s Australia Day presentations.
It came as a surprise to Ms Hartley who attended the ceremony to accept the Community Event of the Year for the 2023 World Gliding Championships.
