It's had been bubbling as an idea for more than ten years, but construction has finally begun on a playground at Coonamble Bowling Club.
Work started on Tuesday 18 June on a section of the disused bowling green, where an all-ages children's space will include a shade sail, ping pong table, rock climbing walls and a basketball hoop.
The club expects the project, costing over $300 000, to be completed by the end of July this year.
