Photo: Junior poultry enthusiasts were rewarded for their efforts at the 2025 Coonamble Poultry Show.
The COVID-era climb in popularity of backyard poultry is continuing and for the first time in many years the Coonamble Poultry Club was faced with turning away entries in their annual Poultry Show.
With temporary cages quickly constructed and some regular exhibitors like local champion breeder Chris Buckley withholding their birds to allow others to enter, the shed at Coonamble Showground was able to display 530 birds.
