Coonamble's Clontarf Academy proved themselves one of the best rugby league teams in the state at Mudgee for the annual Ross Kelly Cup on Thursday 7 August.
Sixteen boys in Year 9 and 10 faced off against 63 other sides, finishing tied for fourth after their 16-0 defeat in the quarter final to Sydney-based tournament winners Endeavour Sports High School.
Clontarf staffer Damien Lee said every player in their Black Cockatoos team chipped in.
