COONAMBLE'S road to recovery after the floods was always going to be arduous, but a series of grants and initiatives from the NSW government might make the task a little easier.
On Tuesday 22 November Regional Roads Minister Sam Farraway announced that 200 people and heavy machinery would be deployed to the Central West and Murrumbidgee regions to assist with the "mammoth task" of reconnecting the regional road network.
"Early estimates from councils indicate that 10,000 kilometres of roads have been affected, which will take many months to repair," Mr Farraway said.
