It was a balmy 23 degrees in Walgett on Saturday 15 August, where the Coonamble and Gulargambone women’s Tri-Tag teams battled it out for an express ticket into the 2026 Ahrens Cup grand final.
The playing conditions were as close to perfect as you could get, albeit a tad hot compared to the previos games this season and both teams played accordingly.
The Flamin Galahs kicked off first, with the Rams quick to collect and make some metres with a couple of nice draw and passes.
