Population figures reveal that not only did the district grow by 0.94% in the 2023/24 year, we are not currently ageing as fast as we were.
The New South Wales population continues to age, with the state's median age recently passing 40, triggering talk of a 'silver tsunami'.
In contrast Coonamble shire's median age had dropped to 39 years . . .
