AUSTRALIA woke on Sunday 22 May to a new-look national government led by Labor and with a swathe of Independents set to take their place in the new parliament, but in our western NSW electorate of Parkes Mark Coulton and the National Party have held firm.
Labor has claimed government, confident of capturing the 76 seat majority of the 151 seats available in the House of Representatives.
