Residents in the Quambone township will breathe easier after Coonamble Shire Council confirmed they expect to remove a tyre fire hazard at a residence before the end of the month.
Senior staffer Lesley Duncan confirmed on 10 October that they have provided written notice to the Tucka Tucka Street owners that a Council crew will enter the property.
She said the owners will be billed for the work.
Quambone Rural Fire Service (RFS) deputy captain Nigel Hayden said the start of the Bush Fire Danger Period this month makes removal urgent.
