Crafting of at least 30 spears has been underway since July in Coonamble as part of an effort to bring Aboriginal men in closer touch with their heritage.
Organiser Matt Boney said he's been trying to make them as "traditionally as possible" with a group of 13 teenagers and men.
That includes the "messy" job of removing the sinew from kangaroo tails to use for fastening spear tips.
