Former Coonamble Bears junior Declan Dixon will have the chance to go to the state level after the 15-year-old was picked to play in the Waratah’s NextGen Cup.
Declan will train for two weeks before heading to Camden to play in one of four under 15s teams over 20-21 September as part of the NSW Waratahs Pathways program.
Selectors may then decide to bring him back to face the Queensland Reds later this year.
The Waratahs announced the squad on Friday 15 August.
